 Critical Thinking Workshops

Tool-based Research Workshops

Other Workshops

The ultimate goal of this exercise is to help you find information more effectively and with less stress.  We will do this by building your awareness of the feelings and thought processes involved in seeking information. We will give you a framework to practice thinking critically about the search for information as a problem-solving process.

These workshops are designed to coincide with students while they are looking for information to support the writing of a research paper. The workshops consist of specific database instruction, general search tips, and tools that help researchers evaluate resources.

All of OCAC's information literacy workshops are meant to be tailored to the specific needs of the students/class that will be attending the workshop. This usually involves an iterative process between the course instructor and the librarian. Other customized workshops that do not fall into the other two categories are welcomed and offered on a case by case basis.

Please contact Kevin Edwards, Book Librarian, for more details: kedwards at ocac dot edu or 971 255 – 4135.
